1. Tell People What You’re Doing

This seems simple, but so many new agents skip it. You have to let people know you’re in business and that you’re ready to help.

Share your story, your niche, and the kinds of trips you love to plan. It doesn’t have to be a big announcement, but simply a matter of working your joy and excitement into your everyday conversations. 

2. Focus on Service, Not Selling

Your job isn’t to “convince” anyone. It’s to solve a problem: planning stress, decision overwhelm, or lack of time.
Show how you make their life easier. That’s what makes people want to book.

3. Offer to Help Someone You Know

Reach out to someone personally and say, “Hey, I just launched my travel business, and I’d love to help you plan your next trip.” You’d be surprised how many people say yes when you ask directly.

4. Ask for Referrals, Not Follows

It’s great if someone follows your Facebook page. But what’s even better? Asking, “Know anyone looking to plan a cruise or Disney trip? I’d love to help.”

Referrals are still the best and fastest way to grow in this business.
